Every book you write drains you, you tell yourself *this is the last one*, then you feel the urge again

I grew up in one of the so-called rougher housing schemes in Livi, most of us didn't have much, yet we largely treasure those times. Poor/underfunded government at every level, drugs and low wages over the last 40 years held the town back a lot. Although that's not book subject
