This is genuinely the most cruel thing in the bill and I don't know why it isn't getting talked about. Disability doesn't discriminate based on age, neither should the money available to support those with a disability.
Do you think it’s right that my daughter Freya will lose the health element of UC when she turns 18? @Keir_Starmer @vickyfoxcroft and all the rest of the #LabourMPs and #MPs from other parties that voted to pass the #WelfareReformBill Shame on the lot of you! Freya needs 24/7…
All the political capital wasted, trust shattered between No. 10 and backbench MPs, and no fiscal savings to show for it. Unbelievable.
BREAKING The government has delayed the implementation of the welfare reforms They were due to come into effect in November 2026 They will now come into effect after the conclusion of a review by Stephen Timms, the welfare minister The four-point rule - the subject of so much…
🚨 JOINT STATEMENT: Any MP who cares about their disabled constituents must oppose the government's amended welfare reform bill⬇️ By @DisRightsUK, @Dis_PPL_Protest, @NSUNnews, @TakingThePIP1, Mad Youth Organise & Crips Against Cuts. #WelfareReforms #DisabilityCuts #TakingThePIP
Good morning, everyone. This is going to be a super basic message because I’m way too nervous about the vote to say anything even vaguely coherent, but… may the winds of fate blow kindly our way! Sending love and solidarity. Jay x P.S. I hope you got some sleep #TakingThePIP
This is the new amendment to the welfare bill. 66 MPs have signed - only 2 Scottish Labour Shame on every single ScotLab MP who decided they no longer have the backbone to oppose these cuts. The lack of integrity is despicable
Breaking: Trump idiotically threatens Elon Musk for speaking out against the Big Beautiful Bill.
The vote today is a simple one. Are you for or against putting 150,000 disabled people into poverty? I’m against.
Here are the real reasons why the welfare bill is growing… - poor pay - growing inequality - reduced public services - an underfunded NHS A different way is possible. Tax the multi millionaires and beat poverty. That’ll make the country a better more equal place.
🆕 Polling finds Labour’s welfare row has damaged on perceptions of party unity - with the party now seen as more divided than the Tories. Meanwhile Brits are not yet convinced the concessions do enough to protect the disabled. Labour’s net unity is -35, Tories -21, Reform + 6
"Just following orders" is not an excuse.
Disability benefit cuts will harm hundreds of thousands, MPs warn: 'A disaster on every front' 'it's very clear that if this goes ahead, the wider cost to society will be bigger than any money they save' bigissue.com/news/social-ju…
The government isn’t bound by a household budget—it chooses where to invest. Targeting disabled people while other spending remains untouched is a political choice, not a necessity. Priorities matter.
If you want to know why a Democratic Senator and Representative in Minnesota were shot… It might have something to do with the fact that their deaths would end the Democratic majorities in both chambers.
🚨 🚨 BREAKING: Democratic Sen. John Hoffman and Democratic House Rep Melissa Hortman & their spouses have been shot overnight by someone impersonating a police officer. Manhunt ongoing for suspect. This is Trump’s America. fox9.com/news/brooklyn-…
