We love dogs here at Stow, so we're delighted to help the Met Police with somewhere to train their dogs to search for drugs, illicit items and people. Thankfully, Rosie's delicious fruit cake doesn't count as contraband! #policedogs
Nice
Pleased to learn that the SSZ airship mooring rings I first discovered in 1970 are still in situ at Donkey Hollow on the former WW1 RNAS station at Polegate, East Sussex.
Kicking off our July #HuttedHistories, the fantastic Stephen Barker joins us with his talk ‘Watershed – Mahatma Gandhi and the First World War’

On a recent holiday in the Lake District I couldn't resist taking a photo of Lt Leefe Robinson's old school in St Bees. Not sure if you have seen it @IanCastleRaids or @ZeppRaider ?
Sounds great - soak up the sun or settle in the shade and watch someone else doing all the work! Always something different @StowAero

Today is the anniversary of a Gotha bomber raid over London in 1917 that killed 57 people. Aircraft from 37 Squadron intercepted them, but pilot 2nd/Lt John Edward Rostron Young (19) and Airman (2nd Class) Cyril Charles Taylor (observer) were killed, remembered on our Memorial.

If you're coming to Stow Maries tomorrow (Sunday), be aware that there's a burst water main and Marlpits Road at the junction with the B1010 at Woodham Mortimer is likely to be closed for much of the day. Diversions are in place, or choose an alternative route
You can't just drop that in then leave it there ticking like a bomb!
