We're disturbed that Dow Jones management is trying to force a company union on journalists and media workers in the U.K. We stand in solidarity with our @NUJofficial family. Journalists and media workers deserve to be represented by a real union, not one funded by News Corp.

Today we joined more than 40 journalism organizations in signing this statement, led by @spj_tweets, condemning the campaign underway in Washington to penalize independent reporting on the government and its activities......

The NewsGuild-CWA and several Guild locals joined the Society of Professional Journalists (@spj_tweets) in condemning recent government attacks on a free press. The White House must lift its ban on @AP and stop obstructing journalists from reporting news to the American people.
