Dequan Finn, the former MAC Player of the Year for Toledo, notes that a chance to go back to the MAC and hia relationship with Chuck Martin was a key to his commitment to Miami.
Chuck Martin: "I asked my boss who I made angry when I saw the #MACtion schedule." Miami draws Ohio on the road, Toledo at home and Buffalo in the road back-to-back-to-back for weeknight games in November.

Chuck Martin on the RedHawks acquiring Dequan Finn: "He was at Baylor and looking for another move around December... The timing was right." Said that his son told him it would be "very weird" to have Finn on the roster after making his name at Toledo.
Broc Lowry and Brady Jones Jr. will be in the mix for the starting QB role at Western Michigan. Lance Taylor says both candidates bring a dimension the offense has been missing.
