What a weekend! After Bellingham and races Friday and Saturday, we took the scenic route home on this Sunday. North Cascades National Park, Grand Coulee Dam, and Dry Falls were all included! Good vibes only 😁

It will be a hot and blustery Thursday around the forecast area bringing heightened fire danger. Wind will back off by just a tad on Friday with slightly cooler temperatures. If heading out to the Columbia to watch the hydros this weekend, the weather will be sunny and pleasant!
It appears we have a new wildfire incident in Klickitat County SEPARATE from the #BurdoinFire. You can see the Burdoin smoke plume on the right and this new start to the left. It appears to be south of SR-142. #wawx #wawildfire

Although sporadic showers were present yesterday, rain amounts on Monday were paltry for much of the forecast area. Today a few pop-up showers may be possible in the Yakima and Kittitas Valleys, although activity will not be widespread. Sunny skies and 90s do return tomorrow!😎

Skies look rather ominous this morning in Yakima with dense clouds overhead and an orange sunrise on the far horizon. For today, mostly cloudy skies, cool temperatures, and rain showers are all possible. We do need the rainfall, however, as we are running a deficit this summer.
A Complex Incident Management Team, Northwest Team 13, is expected to take command of the Burdoin Fire tomorrow, which is burning outside Bingen, Washington. 250 structures are currently threatened by the fire that remains very active and has grown to nearly 9,000 acres.…
