I suddenly realized I've never checked in Gundam Shop Vol.1 an important clue: the 1/100 Gundam has no technical drawings there! That's a bit more evidence to indicate the kit was inherited from Clover and not designed by Bandai and also why Bandai never mentions it

ガンタンクの初期案を。フォルム的には決定稿に近いですが、胸と腕ではガンキャノン、腰（？）はガンダムに近い形状となっています。気になるのはお腹が頭部と同じ様に透明パーツ感の有る描き方になってますが、まさかここは透明じゃないですよね😅 #ガンタンク　#ガンダム

I'm sure Bandai's kit designers tried the best they could but Haruka's deadeye-stare is really creepy... It's twice as bad when you look at the box art and remember how nice she usually looks

I wonder if Bandai will ever get around to releasing an HG VF-1 Valkyrie or maybe it's forever trapped in licensing purgatory Wave and other companies have gotten around it by simply not officially distributing their kits in Harmony Gold regions but Bandai seems to not want that
