Delighted to share our paper out today as part of our BBSRC-funded collaboration with @warwickuni. Here we describe how location of PGE2-driven cAMP signaling is critical for the human uterine endometrium to decode signals for decidualization. cell.com/iscience/fullt…
Two exciting #postdoc opportunities for #microscopy #developers and #biologists to join our team @COMPARE_UoBUoN @unibirmingham! The @wellcometrust-funded project aims to develop a #AI driven #automated platform for high-throughput 5D #imaging applied to #GPCR #signaling!
I’m very excited to finally present something we’ve been working on for the past couple of years – a spatial proteome map of primary cilia, released in @ProteinAtlas today. Amazing teamwork led by @jn_hansen Check out our preprint doi.org/10.1101/2024.1…
Many congratulations to our very own @OquaAffiong who passed her PhD viva today! @CellBiolMDR @ImperialMDR
Special mention to @LilianeEleid, a @DiabetesUK funded PhD student and first author of the study @DUK_research @ImperialMDR @CellBiolMDR
Thrilled to announce our latest preprint where we characterise the GLP-1R missense variant A316T in vivo in a humanised GLP-1R knock-in mouse and resolve the cryo-EM structure of the variant receptor. Many thanks to @DiabetesUK for funding this study. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Congrats to @AygulDagbasi & @Adrian_Holliday for leading this review article we had a small part in, on Anorexia of Ageing & how little we understand mechanistically. Free 50 day access here: sciencedirect.com/science/articl… @AgeingNetwork @gfrost59 @ImperialMDR

Each month an #egg is ovulated from the #ovary, starting the journey of reproduction. But how does ovulation occur?🥚 Our latest work in @NatureCellBio led by @LastChrisThomas and @Tabea_Marx, describes the control of #ovulation using live imaging. bit.ly/3Ya8dEL (1/7)
Our latest out today @Nature! We revisit a century-old theory and show that metabolic gradients work hand-in-hand with genetic&signalling instructions to shape the embryo. Glucose isn't just an energy source, it acts as a major conductor of the body plan🍬 nature.com/articles/s4158…
