I rarely shoot video of him hitting or pitching. But something told me to break out the camera and film his first AB. I accidentally did it in slow mo (while switching back and forth from doing GameChanger) and sure enough, he hits his first real home run. (5/7)
Rollie Fingers has been to 33 straight inductions since his own. Today, during a tour of our collections vault, we told him we have 40,000 artifacts. He said now you have 40,0001 and gave us a tube of his mustache wax!

Every year since he was inducted in 2002, Ozzie Smith hosts an event called “Turn Two” to benefit our nonprofit education efforts. This year he’s sporting a glove that reads “Gold Glove” in Japanese on it. Talk about being prepared for everything.

Our podcast is called The Road to Cooperstown…this seems like a good episode for the future. Safe travels and call me when you get here 😂
Car broke down on the way to Cooperstown 🤣🤣🤣 Anyone headed that way?
What started 30 years ago with Nomomania reaches its apex this week with first Japanese player inducted @BaseballHall. So amazing to have Nomo and longtime donor and friend Peter O’Malley here to celebrate the opening of Yakyu | Baseball: The Transpacific Exchange of the Game.

Yokoso, Ichiro. #YakyuBaseball
This is wild. Check out the list of VIPs coming to Cooperstown this weekend, which doesn’t include the 55 expected @BaseballHall of Famers!

What a legendary career. Grateful for his kindness, as Bob was a big baseball fan and we stayed in touch over the years. May he rest in peace 🙏🏼
They are deeply inadequate, but I tried to put into words not just what Bob Hammel’s friendship meant to me, but what he represented to IU, college basketball and our little corner of the world. He was connective tissue for all of us across generations: indystar.com/story/sports/c…
In addition to honoring Tom Hamilton and Thomas Boswell, the Hall of Fame Awards Presentation will feature a panel with Mike Hargrove, Mark Shapiro and Jim Thome reflecting on Cleveland’s 1995 pennant. We’ve opened additional seats for a limited time: ow.ly/Cgyg50Wsy39
More than 2,400 people came to the Hall today, including one youth team that had three big leaguers kids/grandkids on it. Great having Youk, Sut and Danny Putnam here on a beautiful Sunday in Cooperstown.
Spotted a pair of All-Stars in the Museum this morning. Special thanks to @GreekGodOfHops and @Sut_40 for visiting us!
Your friendly reminder that one of the top opera houses in the country is 10 minutes from Cooperstown. Checking out Tosca this afternoon to see one of the @BaseballHall team members who is part of the show.

Awesome to have longtime @Twins friend Mike Herman and his son’s travel ball coach, aka four-time All-Star Justin Morneau here @BaseballHall today. Cooperstown is crazy this week as the baseball world sets its sights on the upcoming Hall of Fame weekend.

In honor of my 75th time seeing @DaveMatthewsBnd, the boys broke out a 2001 World Series reunion last night. Back at SPAC tonight for No. 76. nytimes.com/athletic/33525…

Join us in wishing 2017 Buck O’Neil Lifetime Achievement Award winner and @JRFoundation founder Rachel Robinson a happy 103rd birthday!
Ok now listen, are you two a couple? Are you two a legitimate couple?
So incredibly proud to hear my great friend @Josh_Suchon call the #Rockies game last night and tonight. This is a guy who was an established BBWAA writer, left to chase his dreams, got a big league pre/post job but wanted PxP gig so he’s grinded it out in minors for 12 years!

250 years later, Philly’s still center stage. @leslieodomjr x #AllStarGame
