Cincinnati group claims city officials are lying about state of violent crime wcpo.com/news/local-new…
Saw the article... The senior POAH people are on LinkedIn in....roast them directly?
Anna Albi's a typical rich kid from Anderson: an ungrateful, self-loathing lib who doesn't understand Cincinnati, bc she grew up on the outside looking in. Hence why she thinks StrongTowns is a good idea, despite it already failing nationwide. Like all libs, she's doubling down
Grateful to participate in this important and vey timely discussion. Thank you, @Strong_Cities, for facilitating!
Downtown businesses rely on 9-5 workers to patronize them. Instead of focusing on getting office spaces filled with business, city leaders are prioritizing the conversion into high rent residences. It's not going to end well for anyone.
Paula asked me if @AftabPureval has responded or reached out to me in the past year about this issue, and I said of course not, do you see a photo op for him here? Also, I don’t fit into the demographic that he loves to pander too.
They are their poverty money making machine. They love that all mighty federal tax dollar for lihtc as long as it isn’t in their community. Ask @KearneyForCincy or @AftabPureval how many POAH buildings are in rose hill or gaslight?
Correct. Cincinnati's a neighborhood city.
It is so simple that cities disregard it. I’m tired of hearing about this so-called #HousingCrisis because the government response is usually focused on more cheap apartments, deepening the divide between homeowners and renters. Renting a crappy apartment does not add…
Thanks @sherribarber for not backing down!
Two high-profile murders in OTR had ties to one of Cincinnati’s largest low-income housing providers. We take a look at the nonprofit, Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH), which is now under scrutiny. wcpo.com/news/local-new…
Yes.
Why not being life back to vacant lots with a group of pre-approved house plans? Cities get all excited when they “streamline” plan approval and zoning reviews so why not circumvent the entire process? #SaveOurCities
Lol, so much for Connected Communities zoning. What a joke. #Cincinnati
The next regularly scheduled City Planning Commission meeting will be held on August 01, 2025 starting at 9:00am either in City Hall or via Zoom. Agenda: cincinnati-oh.gov/planning/about…
I feel the need to say this again. 20,000 “shots fired” a very very small number of these shots actually make contact with a human. By citing # of people shot, we are measuring accuracy not violence. Lead is constantly flying
Cincinnati sold a huge assest, the Cincinnati Southern Railway, to Norfolk Southern. The current city leadership is full of unserious people who want to "grow" the city without doing the hard work of maintaining a city.
3 weeks ago, Aftab, Council, & CoP Theetge announced a new crime taskforce. - There were multiple shootings the night of the announcement. Yesterday, Aftab, Council, & CoP Theetge held a special hearing about crime. - Last night marked the 3rd night in a row w/ a shooting.

These are the crime statistics for Cincinnati. I will be on @55KRC in studio with @brianthomas1 tomorrow at 8 AM to discuss these statistics, along with other current issues facing our city. Tune in at the link below: 👉 55krc.iheart.com

3,000 more Cincinnatians have been victims of crime in 2025 so far than in 2024. Police Chief Grandma can take her "quality of life" lie, & shove it.
Pretty much everything she said today about “quality of life” issues has been directly contradicted by rank-and-file officers in my district. They’ve been told to stand down on everything from open containers to speeding. The “speed cushions” are a poor substitute.
Crime was down before it was up. Curfews weren't needed before they were. These people are wildly incompetent. Things will continue to get worse w/ Democrats in charge of Cincinnati.
Just now at a @WCPO round table discussion on finding solutions to gun violence, Mayor Aftab Pureval said he’s not considering implementing a curfew in Cincinnati at this time. “I’m not interested in jailing kids for curfew violations.”
Begin to understand why just last year Ohio Democrats tried to change Ohio laws to allow 4 retired judges the ability to choose 15 unelected bureaucrats to make laws for 11.8M Ohioans
Judges do not get to choose prosecutors in America. This is an abuse of judicial power and a blatant violation of the separation of powers. (Yes, the underlying statute is unconstitutional.) General Bondi can simply fire their replacement—and should. politico.com/news/2025/07/2…
Mark, that’s outright lie. We set aside enough Covid money for three recruit classes. What you guys did with it is anybody’s guess. If you talk to any actual rank-and-file police officer (rather than the politically compromised chief) you will learn they are under strength and…
2025 YTD overall reported victims: 17,034 '24: 14,507 (15%⬆️) '23: 14,328 (16%⬆️) '22: 12,488 (27%⬆️) '21: 12,327 (28%⬆️) 3000-5000 more Cincinnatians have been victims of crime this year. That's insane! Violent crime's higher than 3 of the previous 4 years. It's undefendable.
