Congratulations, Otger @CampasLab and all @PoLDresden colleagues!
We did it! 😀🎉 🍾🥂 Our Excellence Cluster Physics of Life (@PoLDresden) got renewed until 2032! I am so proud of our team and all the great work we did to achieve this. At a personal level, I am really happy that the enormous effort that went into this process was successful,…
With great sadness and deep regret, we have to inform you that our department director and highly esteemed colleague Philippe Bastiaens @maxplanckpress passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 15th of May.
With my famous namesake, flamenco guitar virtuoso, Grisha Goryachev @Grisha_Goryachev (YouTube) after his first concert in Edinburgh last night Hopefully not last! What a treat it was!

Congratulations to Sachin Kotak @Sachin_mitosis and colleagues for showing the role of NuMA in cytokinetic furrow formation, now in C. elegans ! rupress.org/jcb/article/22…

A long-awaited mechanistic analysis of small GTPase biology and membrane pattern formation by the labs of Peter Bieling and Bill Bement @BementLab embopress.org/doi/full/10.10…
Congratulations to Dom with his first first-author paper! Very happy to see this collab with @BementLab out in @CurrentBiology cell.com/current-biolog…
🚨🚨Please RT! 📢📢 Still time to submit short talk abstract for EdinPBS2025! Five themes this year: · Mechanobiology · Protein pattern formation · 4D Genome · Stochastic biology · Biohydrodynamics bit.ly/EdinPBS2025

🚨🚨Please RT! 📢📢 Join us Monday, 24.02.25 for the seminar of Prof. Satyajit Mayor @jitumayor_lab @SBSetEd @EdinburghUni bit.ly/40ZbhoO

In a nutshell, we found that Aurora A in anaphase keep pole localized protein-NuMA in a dynamic state. Without Aurora A, NuMA at poles undergo phase transition from dynamic to solid, which cause bending of segregated chromosome sets/nuclei around the abnormal NuMA poles
Come visit us in Edinburgh for this great conference.
Final announcement! #FragileNucleosome is honoured to be collaborating with the upcoming conference:𝐇𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐞. @chrstn_e , one of our organizers, will give a special lecture. Hope to see FN community there too! #hcdg25 tinyurl.com/37x72s67
Early career researchers, don't miss the opportunity!
A terrific workshop "Physics of Biological Systems" happening in Edinburgh next May! Still room for contributed talks.
🚨🚨Please RT! 📢📢 Following last year’s success, International workshop “Physics of Biological Systems” is back in May! @HiggsCentre @PhysAstroEd Registration is now open and free! Submit talk or poster abstract. Join us in Edinburgh! bit.ly/EdinPBS2025
