Our fifth new PoL #Research Avenue is Physical Measurements in Intact Living Systems 🔬 Developing non-invasive microscopy tech is key for measuring physical forces like electric fields and pressure. This will bring our understanding of the physical basis of life to a new level!

How does life organize itself? 🤔 PoL's fourth new #Research Avenue is Energy and Information Flows in Active Matter Our aim is to reveal the physical principles underlying the emergent dynamic organization of the living state of matter. To do so, we harness the physics of life!

Our third new #Research Avenue: Self-Organizing Active Molecular Systems! 🧬 We're uncovering the physical principles of self-organization leading to functional cytoskeletal and chromatin structures. Our research will reveal how structures emerge from molecular interactions!

Our second new #Research Avenue: Emergent Cellular Phases! 👩‍🔬📷 RA2 aims to connect the physical principles and underlying molecular mechanisms of how membraneless compartments (like biological condensates) form, to uncover how cells generate and control these distinct phases.
