🚨 New Episode: 🚨 In this episode I spoke about England's 1000th international fixture and it was marked with a 7-0 win over Montenegro. A memorable night for many different reasons. Tune in to hear all about it. 🎧 linktr.ee/gate102podcast

Hey @grok who was the most famous person to visit my profile? Doesn't have to be mutual
1000th game was such a milestone, but with the greatest respect to Montenegro, they just didn't feel the right opponent for it. But I was featured in the programme that day 😀.
A great substitution or a player who should have started? Agyemang at this tournament reminiscent of Cole Palmer at Euro 2024.
ICYMI our latest episode hit the shelves earlier this week. Definitely one of the most defining occasions of the Southgate era.
🚨 New Episode: 🚨 In this episode, I talk about England's 6-0 victory over Bulgaria. I break down the game, the goals, and the shocking racist abuse that stopped play. A dominant win, but an ugly night. The England team took a stance that night! linktr.ee/gate102podcast
It doesn't matter how you win, all that matters you win. Great mentality from the players to comeback from behind and win on penalties 🔥🏴 #EngSwe #lionesses
We stand together as a team, a football club, a community and a game against racism and discrimination. Friday night’s incident is truly shocking, and something that must not be allowed to happen again. Racist abuse has serious long-term effects on its victims, and those…

New episode drops tomorrow and it's when England defeated Bulgaria 6–0. The football was one-sided, but the real story was in the stands. I'll break down the match and the racism that overshadowed it. Definitely worth a listen tomorrow ⏭️

On the pod, I'm nearly at the point of when the COVID pandemic hit. I'm thinking of doing an episode where fans come on and talk about what it was like watching England behind closed doors. If you want to share your thoughts and experiences, please get in touch.
Always a pleasure to visit Prague, I remember the following day I walked around the Strahov Stadium (give it a Google), next to that is another stadium that I snuck into, where I found the England team training ahead of the Bulgaria match.

These are brilliant words from both of them. It goes to show how Southgate had so much courage as both a player and a manager.
Terry Venables & Bobby Robson discuss Gareth Southgate’s penalty miss at Euro ‘96. Could listen to these two legends talk all day… ❤️
At Euro 2000 a top Dutch team lost on home soil to unfancied nine man Italy. 2004 Portugal lost the final on home soil to Greece. 2016 France lost the final on home soil to a workmanlike Portugal. All defeats were Gareth Southgate’s fault. Not the pressure of home finals.
🚨New Episode:🚨 England’s 43-game unbeaten run in qualifiers ended in Prague as they lost 2-1 to the Czech Republic back in October 2019. I talk about what went wrong, what it meant, and why it mattered. linktr.ee/gate102podcast

England goals in Euros knockout matches: - Under Southgate: 15 - Under all other managers combined: 4
This is one of the best montages I've ever seen. Especially the bit with Graham Taylor looking down at the end .
