Ban Unfair & Dangerous Random Number Generator (RNG) Gambling products incl. slots, online casino etc.
It's unfair to have a retail industry sector that is almost entirely paid for by harm. Nothing to do with RTP. The product is inherently dangerous, manipulative and controlling. All the things society is now challenging. Game over is nearer than you think
I notice you say RNG games are unfair, I’d love to genuinely hear how you take that stance vs FO with zero view on RTP or indeed a level playing field
2.700 of these across the uk. AI bots taking over the poker tables. The Gambling Industry are destroying peoples lives. Online and in the high streets. They don’t want horsey or sports betting punters or winners. They want you Spinning a near miss roulette wheel or scratch card.
The gambling industry prey and target vulnerable people and It’s a vulture like industry which is filled with evil toxicity. What exactly do these ‘gamble responsibly’ teams do? Anytime someone is showing signs of a gambling problem they turn a blind eye to it. It’s DISGRACEFUL
Never once has my friend been asked for an Affordability Check? Yet when you win - You cannot shake them off you. Says it all to me. Absolute farce of a system.
Indirectly you are though. Because we all know that RNG games in particular, incl. scratchcards, slots, online casino etc are a vile business that primarily profits, and wouldn't exist without gambling harm.
I'm not arguing in favour of gambling addiction. Would welcome your comments on the pamphlet.
Geoff thinks it is ok to have a retail sector where profits are almost entirely made from harming others. RNG product is inherently dangerous, manipulative and controlling. All the things society is now challenging. #intolerant
That's prohibition Where are narrow group of intolerant try to tell millions of people how to live their lives
As a flavour of what industry might expect if subject to a duty of care, I refer you to Mr Justice Griffiths in Dhir v Flutter “It is clear that you knew he was a compulsive gambler and you didn’t care”. Luckily for Flutter the case wasn’t about duty of care. Near miss.
damn- that's genuinely sick in the head comparing an industry - responsible (only in part) to the death of 1 person a year- to the leak of chemicals into rivers causing umpteem loss of life Seek help
Investigation into claims asylum seeker payment cards used for gambling - BBC News The full cost of current gambling laissez-faire to government is just not costed. Ban #RNG #slots #OnlineCasino share.google/8qar0W77w0R3lb…
That’s the whole point Geoff. I never did. I took my H&S@WA duty of care incredibly seriously. For 250 staff. For 200+ sites. For all my contractors. If it wasn’t safe, we wouldn’t do it. I walked the talk. My people knew it. Unlike gambling industry and addictive products.
When did personal responsibility die with you?
Capitalism fails Humanity. Simply put it is a system that extracts all the money from collective Human effort and transfers it to the capitalist oligarchy. If you are sick, disabled, unemployed, then you're marginalised, disparaged by the system & it's trolls. It's sick.
Ever wondered what PIP is or why some disabled people get it? It’s not “free money.” It’s not “extra help.” It’s a lifeline in an inaccessible world. Disabled people face on average £1,095 in avoidable extra costs per month. #TakingThePIP #DisabilityBenefits
My Dad put into the system his whole life. So WHY do you insist on calling the state pension a benefit? It’s not. That’s why people pay taxes… unlike billionaires who just exploit the system. But that’s fine with you, always greed vs NEED. I hate how backwards we’ve become.
Exactly. Reject USA tech greed and extraction. For consumers don't buy Amazon, eBay, don't use PayPal, reject self-service checkouts, buy local, break the system of control slowly tightening it's grip. Pay Cash. france24.com/en/live-news/2…
Will you @Steph_Peacock or you @fionatwycross or you @lisanandy grasp the nettle? Or does money out vote community family and our children’s well-being?
With gambling adverts posted on shirts programmes pitch side hoardings and stadium branding, you cannot escape anywhere. Should U18 children be exposed to all this? Is this a “family” friendly environment? Will the regulator grasp the “family friendly” or “over 18” venue nettle?
Not the primary reason. Nor is it broken down by gambling category. So broad statements about fun, enjoyment and responsible gambling without context are not factual. How many just buying a lottery ticket?
Sure Geoff let's trust you with regulation, like you act in anyone's interests other than your own.
67% of respondents that signed up to UK self exclusion scheme had used the Black Market to bypass Self exclusion. Think I have been warning the gambling commission about the effect of 'draconian' Gamstop system, even before it was foisted on consumers as having 'no relief valve'…
Oops! If you want to take me on with my specialist subject I don’t rate your chances. Are you familiar with the concept of “Regulated Asset Base”? Or what about P=RPI +/- K ? Thought not!
you're a group one idiot Who pays the fines? Who absorbs the regulations?? The consumer
“Under the Gambling Act 2005, @GamRegGB & councils must “aim to permit” gambling” Aim to destroy their High Street. Aim to impoverish their community. Aim to self destruct. Which party will pledge to halve gambling harm every 2 years?
