The AB government refused a proposal to resolve the disruption & get those public surgeries back on track for the 1,000 patients impacted. It would have cost $240K/year. Instead they've spent $154 million on private, for-profit surgeries over 5 years & wait times only got worse.

As of today, alberta.ca/measles has reported 1,246 people have been infected with Measles, granting Alberta the title of highest cases per capita in North America. Measles immunization is key to prevention and further complications. This is preventable. Get immunized.
