I remain concerned that the current Fwk has not taken onboard sufficiently issues raised by the Coroner. A slow start doesn't resolve the fundamental issues.
tes.com/magazine/news/… “The assurance the sector needs is for Ofsted & the government to rethink the current proposals & then introduce the new inspection system in a less frantic manner, giving schools & colleges time to absorb & prepare for what are very significant changes.”
Exceptional performance
Interesting. What are bonus linked too?
The intent behind T Levels is laudable, but far too many places across England just do not have the economy to support the 45-day industry placements at scale. This problem has not been addressed & there are no clear solutions on the horizon.
ASCL strongly urges the government to retain these popular and valued applied general qualifications. We support T levels, but we do not understand why this must be at the expense of other tried and trusted vocational qualifications which work well for many students.
Ive copied the first page of 2.
Is there a report on these bonuses?

Achieving gateway qualifications such as 4/5+ in English and Maths GCSE are disproportionately important if you are from a low income family.

I came across 'supervision' while leading on LA inspections for Ofsted. I'm seeing it increasingly being used in education. The latest @FrankStanChat with Lisa Lea-Weston provides a good overview + the benefits it can provide. Might be worth considering. youtu.be/F18sotzGSbA

Ofqual is meant to be a trusted source for data accuracy. In fact, its whole existence is based on this.
New: Ofqual has withdrawn a decade's worth of data on access arrangements after the figures were found to have "significantly overstated" the number of pupils receiving additional support. tes.com/magazine/news/…
Jon, you are correct. I will not be satisfied until the inspectorate demonstrates fully it has created a Fwk that avoids the dangers identified by the Caversham Coroner. More grades, more areas to be judged and less experienced inspectors to be deployed. What could go wrong?
When does a stagger become a non- or false-start? Either way, a delay (if we can call it that) is welcome, as are the other announced measures. Is it enough to quell concerns? Unlikely. tes.com/magazine/news/…
I won't be reassured until I know how they'll inspect, against what standard and how they intend improving HMI workforce with average 2yr 6 months experience. Reassurance counts for little if Ofsted ignore what consultation respondents told them. Need for more radical change.
I wonder how “reassured” the profession is feeling based on this? gov.uk/government/new…
