Chase Elliott's career high laps led is 289 (Martinsville fall 2021). He has led 217 so far and could surpass that mark today (95 to go now).
With the passing of Rex White, Richard Petty and Ned Jarrett are the only #NASCAR Cup champions prior to 1980 that are still with us. If you ever have an opportunity to meet a former driver, do it. Especially legends & champs. Appreciate greatness before you can only mourn it.
