I agree. Go watch the second latest episode of @FinanciallyInc podcast, and the guest highlighted this so well. You can have an influencer and trend, but that doesn't lead to converting. You have to integrate everything for it to work.
Do people who pay influencers think trending == sales? Many of these influencers don’t even have a niche they will promote anything. 200k followers with no common interest. You could achieve more with a micro-influencer with 2k followers.
