FINALLY! I have been waiting for C5 to end to share the sprayer we have built as part of my research. This real-time, precision sprayer uses the vegetative index, VARI, (hence the name: VARI-Cool Sprayer) for detection. Thanks to everyone who helped with this project! #VARICool
Congrats to @samTURFkreinbrg and @MikeB_Turf on bringing home some hardware! Congrats to all of the @uarkhort turf grad students for representing the program so well! @ArkansasTurf and I are EXTREMELY proud of each of you. @sarah_paschal1 @w_green21 @FarmerChahal @_jessywithay
That’s CURTAINS for the 2024 annual @ASA_CSSA_SSSA meeting in San Antonio. I’m grateful for the opportunity to present my research, and I hope those who attended enjoyed the talk. @ArkansasTurf and @HutchensWendell have us graduate students doing some incredible work at Arkansas!
The drought situation in the region is serious...for you warm-season turf managers, remember that winterkill can be caused by desiccation as much as low temperatures. Getting a wetting agent down (on sand rootzones) and irrigating going into the winter are important practices!
Excited to get this spring dead spot review published in @crop_science to present at the International Turfgrass Research Conference in 2025. I really enjoyed working with the excellent team of co-authors on this paper! doi.org/10.1002/csc2.2…
