Yesterday, faith & community leaders across Florida joined a statewide call with @KevinGuthrieFL, Director of @FLSERT, to discuss hurricane preparedness. Thank you to the FDEM team for keeping Floridians informed & ready for the 2025 season. 🔗 FloridaDisaster.org

Florida will support Texas following the catastrophic flooding in Kerrville and the surrounding areas. At my direction, @FLSERT is deploying three swiftwater rescue teams through an EMAC to assist with response and recovery. We’re standing by to lend more help as requested.
Through our partnership with CarePortal, Hope Florida has helped connect Floridians in need with people who can help. By referring Hope Florida participants' needs to CarePortal, churches and individuals can be alerted to specific requests and quickly fill them.
Grateful to stand and speak on this National Day of Prayer. In this moment, I am reminded that We the People seek wisdom not from man but from our Creator. We will keep praying and fighting to keep Florida safe, strong, and free.

Hope Florida organizes the generosity and goodness of the faith community to help those in need. Faith institutions are the heart of Florida’s communities, and we want to come alongside them to strengthen individuals and families as they overcome barriers and reach their goals.
More than 30,000 children have been served through Florida’s @_careportal! This is yet another historic milestone that wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of Florida's faith and community leaders.


Cherlene, a working single mom of three, was struggling to provide enough food for her family because her refrigerator had broken. Cherlene’s Hope Navigator submitted a CarePortal request, which was quickly fulfilled, enabling her to purchase a new refrigerator and groceries.

After living in a hotel due to Florida’s hurricanes, Donna sought help from Hope Florida to furnish her apartment. Donna’s request was fulfilled by two faith institutions through CarePortal. She is now working with her Navigator to achieve her educational and employment goals.

Hope Florida Spotlight: Angel, a single father, connected with Hope Florida in search of support after moving into a new apartment. Through CarePortal, Parkview Baptist Church intervened to provide all furniture, clothing, and household items requested.
Michael, a @FLGrdnAdLtm mentor, was introduced to his 15-year-old mentee who, due to behavioral issues, experienced multiple foster care placements. With Michael’s support, his mentee has made significant progress in school and has shown improvement in his behavior.
Hope Florida Spotlight: Eight months into her pregnancy, Mary Lou experienced complications that resulted in the tragic loss of her child. She returned to work, only to lose her job. Shortly after, she connected with a Hope Navigator who helped lay out a plan to support her.
Hope Florida Spotlight: Justin was homeless prior to being served by Hope Florida. As a father of two, Justin was assigned to a Hope Navigator who ensured that he and his family had every tool they needed to succeed, helped him receive a full scholarship, and later, a job.
