The IDF has killed starving Palestinian civilians trying to get aid. Settler terrorism and talk of imposing the illegal E1 settlement plan are flagrant attempts to prevent a Palestinian state. There is no justification for this. A two-state solution is the only path to peace.
Enjoyed my visit to Müller in Bellshill today. A key local employer, the site processes over 370 million litres of fresh milk and cream annually and supports more than 260 jobs in our constituency. Solid evidence that Bellshill remains a centre of excellent UK dairy produce🥛 🐄

Deeply concerned by the Israeli Civil Administration’s plan to revive the E1 settlement programme. If implemented, this would critically undermine a future Palestinian state and the path to a two-state solution - crushing the hopes of millions who wish for peace.
Thank you so much for your support towards the #MND community, @FJMcNally!
Today at Westminster I showed my support for @mndassoc in calling for equal access to Tofersen for all people with SOD1 MND. I was pleased to stop by their Day of Action event in Parliament Square and then raised the issue in Parliament this afternoon. #PrescribeLife

Very pleased to be at the launch of the new Civil Society Covenant today, with @Keir_Starmer @lisanandy - & 100’s of charity sector leaders. This covenant - shaped by more than 1000 organisations - represents a transformation of the relationship between the sector and government.

I questioned the Secretary of State on the removal of funding for the Pension Dishonesty Unit - With 50 live complaints potentially now being dropped, we must ensure strong mechanisms are in place to deliver justice for those caught up in pension scams.
I recently joined a roundtable on inclusive PPE — thanks to @kittysull1, @GMB_union and other key stakeholders for their work on this issue. Too many people - particularly women - are exposed to ill-fitting PPE — that’s a serious safety issue we must fix.

The new Unemployment Insurance Benefit could ensure stronger financial support following a job loss - but it’s also important that people are supported back into work that matches their skills. At Work & Pensions Committee, I asked the SoS how the govt will ensure that
Pleased to meet with constituent Derek Stewart to discuss the British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme. While Mine Workers Pension Scheme Members rightly received justice last year, BCSSS members—facing similar circumstances—have been left behind. We must act to right this wrong.

From our NHS to our education system, the SNP is responsible for so much of what is broken in Scotland. Next year is a chance to choose a new direction with Scottish Labour.
It is entirely unacceptable that in the West Bank—territory long recognised as occupied under international law—Palestinian families continue to be forcibly displaced from their land, homes and schools.
Congratulations to Rachel Reeves and Darren Jones for announcing the £500 million social impact fund which will help transform children and youth services in the coming years and into which social investors may add an additional £500 million.
Alcohol consumption is a contributing factor in a variety of cancers. I used my time in a recent debate on the topic to highlight the important role of early prevention, and commend the work @CAPUKTweets are doing in my own constituency and across the UK.
Earlier today I visited the UK Dementia Research Institute at the University of Edinburgh. Their work in regenerative neurology, particularly in tackling Motor Neurone Disease (MND), is among the most advanced in the UK. The brilliant team shared progress on the MND-SMART trial.

The SNP’s fiscal incompetence has left a £2.6B black hole in the Scottish Government’s budget, despite record funding from the UK Government. That shortfall may lead to job loses in our NHS. Scottish Ministers need to get a grip of this crisis.
Appalled by Israeli Defence Minister Katz's proposal to move Gaza's population to Rafah. Palestinian territory must not be reduced. Civilians must be able to return to their communities. We need to move towards a ceasefire deal and open a pathway to lasting peace.
No-one going through the heartbreak of pregnancy loss should have to go back to work before they’re ready. I’m proud this Labour government is introducing a day-one right to protected time off work, with time away from work to grieve. bbc.com/news/articles/…
Pleased to meet with debt advice charity @StepChange to discuss the challenges facing people across Coatbridge and Bellshill who are experiencing problems with debt. Free, confidential debt advice is available 24/7 and can be accessed below 👇 stepchange.org

With Labour, NHS waiting lists are falling and we have an ambitious plan for the NHS’ future. In John Swinney, the SNP have an analogue politician in a digital age, and Scotland’s patients are missing out. Scotland needs a new direction with @AnasSarwar. thetimes.com/article/83e455…
