There is such a joy to Ffarquhar Branch. Everyone who came to see it smiled so much, no matter their age or background. It is something so special, and I'm so honoured to be involved with it - let alone operate it! Who else spotted the new addition to the platform?

Take a few minutes to enjoy this wonderful recreation. A reading by the late Reverend Awdry of one of his many tales from the Isle of Sodor, bought to life in live action footage with a little animated assistance. It is an evocative tale from the past brought right up to date.

Oh yeah, another Fun Fact™️ about this: David Ventry who plays a wonderful rendition of the Thin Controller is actually the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Talyllyn Railway Company! It's the little details that count 😉

One week ago already since the Rev.W.Awdry’s daughter, Veronica Chambers, read a very warm and moving speech at the @TalyllynRailway to open the #AwdryExtravaganza “Some people don’t see the importance of little railways. But I think we all know better!” 🥲

The best thing about the Talyllyn's adaptation of "Sir Handel" are the funny bits from the human characters. More than humor, these moments, which are portrayed by real people, add a level of relatability and humanity to the story- something you don't see in most Thomas media.

Pack it in, folks. We've reached peak RWS adaptations. The Talyllyn just woke up one day and decided to straight up make a literal live-action Thomas movie.

What was one of those 'wouldn't it be nices' suddenly came into being across a couple of days in June. The day was not 'misty', nor were the rails 'slippery', but it was fantastic display of comradery, determination and fun. One for the CV! Come and support this at 6pm BST!

I've made a few videos this year, but this is the one I'm proudest of. Where else would I get to direct a real steam engine?! So many talented people involved in making this, but the star is really the Rev. W. Awdry who manages to bring "Sir Handel" to life anew 📸 @10LEIGH10

Having the opportunity to be a part of this production was phenomenal. Seeing the reactions as it played during the Saturday evening event, on the BIG screen?!?! It was an indescribable feeling. We hope that you all enjoy watching ‘Sir Handel’ just as much as we did making it💜
