Most of the people I follow are moving. Find me where the sky is bluer, not dark & forbidding... @ericeatspickles.bsky.social
Many of us were hoping (& with the “legacy” promises, *expecting*) to see something like this appearing soon after London 2012 was completed, not 13 years later...
The new cycle lanes and planting on Westfield Ave in the Olympic Park are looking spectacular! 🚲🌹🌺🌷🌻 Good to see construction continuing at pace on the next section.
"$2 billion investment to promote cycling throughout [France] over the next four years" @Heidi_Labour - France has confirmed its "unprecedented investment in cycling & walking". When are you going to confirm ours? momentummag.com/paris-cycling-…
The rampant profiteering by various water companies since the UK's water was privatised is metaphorically & very literally a shitsow of alarming proportions...
"Mapped: The summer holiday beaches flooded with sewage. There are 139 coastal locations at which sewage has been released over past two days." The extraordinary world we now live in. Once upon a time in the run up to the school holidays newspapers would be full of the best…
Institutional car brain prevents US fire services seeing & admitting that bike lanes can be very advantageous for them. There are many examples from across Europe. x.com/HowSenChong/st…

Before young drivers are forced into a life of mind-numbing tedium in cars, which some relieve by taking outrageous risks, they should first gain road awareness through cycling, with all the natural endorphins that brings. It will save lives. theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/j…
E-bikes are going to have way more of a positive impact on human flourishing than e-cars.
E-Bikes gehen durch die Decke, E-Autos nicht. Gute Wege gibt es nur für zweitere. Finde den Fehler! #MehrPlatzFürsRad #RADvomution Grafik: @zeitonline
"Vehicle drives into Los Angeles crowd" "Car ploughs into crowd in Los Angeles" @Guardian & @StandardNews, a driver was involved here. Your reporting - which completely omits any mention of a driver - is a craven & blatant attempt to erase driver agency & absolve them of blame.

The UK's train companies don't employ staff to help you avoid expensive mistakes (or even sell you a ticket on the train you've just boarded). They pay lawyers to sue you when you make a mistake trying to navigate their labyrinthine pricing & ticketing options...
Buying train tickets is one of my least favourite parts of adulting, but I thought even I could manage to buy a ticket that was valid. I was wrong ⬇️ At around 8 PM on Monday evening, I bought a ticket from the machine at Euston station from London to Liverpool Lime Street. 1/8
A tiny snapshot of road violence reported today by just one news outlet. Remind me why virtually all discussion about road safety rages exclusively around e-bikes...

Parked outside the hospitals filled with people nearly hit by a bike...
I get the tube pretty regularly and am still yet to see one of these graffitied carriages GB News presenters post. Where are they finding these trains?
Bicycle ploughs into crowd leaving at least 20 injured. Will nobody stop these two-wheeled menaces...? standard.co.uk/news/world/car…

What I can reach from home (minutes walking, quicker on the 🚲): -schools: 7, 15 -groceries: 3, 6, 12 -cafes: 2, 5, 19 -pharmacy: 4 -doctor: 3 -haircut: 4, 5, 7 -restaurants: 4, 5, 6, 7, 19 -parks: 1, 4 -pubs: 4, 8, 15 -post office: 3. I already live here.

I do the hustle for the first couple of steps, then reeaallly slow down once I realise they've lost interest in my performative hustle & gone back to staring at their mobile phones...
If you're going across a crosswalk, you have a responsibility to do that hustle walk, which makes it seem like you're going faster than you are as thank message to the car who stopped for you to cross.
Imagine what the numbers would be like if they actually made *all* roads safer for all ages & abilities on bikes, not just for "fit young men" as the critics like to pretend...
Could people cycling outnumber drivers in London in the coming years? It's already happened in the City of London at peak commuting times and cycling journeys are a third of Tube journeys each day, and keep rising. inews.co.uk/news/charts-sh…
It's a habit of drivers to deflect the burden of road safety onto those they kill or injure...
I agree with you, but the vehicle will win every single time. It is what it is. It’s in the pedestrians interest to have maximum situational awareness.
What a mess. Good idea to keep the clown shoes out of shot, though...
My new jacket. Beautiful 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Today the government announced its strategy to reform elections. It's right to identify lack of trust in politics and our institutions as an urgent problem. But this won't be fixed without addressing our democracy's weakest link: the First Past the Post voting system.
