Congrats @EncodeAction. You should be proud of the impact you've had! It has been an honor to work alongside you!
Today’s a big day. We just turned 5! 5⃣🎂 In July 2020, we were scrappy high schoolers across Instagram group chats. Now, our young, fast-moving team is shaping how policymakers and the public navigate AI — in DC, SF, and beyond. In the last year alone, we’ve: ✅ Led historic…
Watching us grow over the last few years has been nothing short of incredible. Grateful for the ride, and even more excited for what’s ahead. Happy 5th, Encode. 💙

Yes, we did. I was pleased to introduce this amendment on behalf of our children, states, creators, and individuals nationwide. Thank you to the bipartisan group of colleagues who agreed with me on this. washingtonpost.com/technology/202…
it blows my mind that our DC team was so crucial to making this happen. just last week it seemed like we were clearly doomed insane fighters @sgandhi0 @AdamBillen @_NathanCalvin
The AI Moratorium has been stripped out of the Big Beautiful Bill in an overwhelming 99-1 vote. We thank Senator @MarshaBlackburn, kids online safety advocates, civil society organizations, and hundreds of grassroots volunteers that came together to stop this.

This needs to pass.
Boom. New Blackburn amendment with Cantwell to strip Cruz 10 year AI moratorium.
Over 130 orgs agree; We cannot afford to tie the hands of our local legislators to regulate AI for any duration of time.
Over 130 organizations working on children's safety are clear: NO version of the moratorium is acceptable.

Sen. Blackburn has been working tirelessly to kill the AI moratorium that threatens to block protections for children across the country. We are lucky to have such a strong champion. Thank you for uplifting our opposition letter from 140+ organizations working to protect kids.
Just last year, millions of high school students said they knew a classmate who had been victimized by AI-generated image based sexual abuse. This is why countless organizations are opposing misguided efforts to block state laws on AI. We must stand with them.…
#245reasons why the US Senate must not enact the states AI Law ban in the BBB. Call your senator NOW and tell them to remove this provision (202) 224-3121. Photo: @KazSasahara Social Media Victims Remembrance Day 2025
Proponents of the moratorium have tried every way they can to jam it into the budget. After waves and waves of backlash it looks like it's finally going down.

Sound the Alarm!🚨@AdamBillen @EncodeAction – just launched stopaiban.org #BigTech holding hostage broadband funding - forcing states to give up AI regulations. What's going on? Let's find out. Please join us. Share this video. #BeAWarrior💙youtu.be/nDfPgNjqTx8?si…
While AI has opened the door to exciting innovation, it has also exposed creators and artists to detrimental harms. We cannot afford to block states from instituting AI regulations for 10 years while AI evolves unchecked.
