🧵Columbia’s agreement with the federal government includes provisions to ensure non-discrimination in admissions and hiring. “Columbia shall not maintain programs that promote unlawful efforts to achieve race-based outcomes, quotas, diversity targets, or similar efforts.”
This is a carefully crafted agreement that will presumably provide the model for the Administration's settlements with other universities. The Resolution Monitor (Bart M. Schwartz) will have tremendous power to ensure that Columbia complies with its commitments.
