vimeo.com/1100672255/88a… Amazing footage of our very own steel elliptical arched bow string bridge with diagonal bracing and lattice infilled parapets. Also known as the Banana Bridge! Sadly someone has already tagged it, such a shame. We will try and keep in top of it.

The Committee on Climate Change that advises the government says we need no net expansion in air travel. The West's Metro Mayor talks of the economic growth brought by the airport. She doesn't get it. Climate change isn't good for the economy.
The airport is planning to expand to serve 15m passengers per year, with a longer runway and flights to America and the Middle East bristol247.com/news-and-featu…
I am pleased to see that the resurfaced and more clearly marked bike lane in Bristol City Centre seems to be working better. We are monitoring it closely to see what further improvements may be needed. @Chris_Boardman @BristolCouncil @BristolCycling

#VoteGreen💚@TheGreenParty to stop millionaire playboys who want to play politics as a side hustle whilst they fiddle with finances when the world is drowning in #plastic #pollution and literally going under as sea levels rise! Reform candidate doesn’t want mayor role @thetimes
Lovely to get out with local volunteers in Victoria Park today sowing wild seeds. This is one of several patches and we hope it will encourage moths and beetles, then in turn to help bats, mice and owls. @vpagbristol @TRESAcic

The real division? Money Vs Democracy. Time to make sure we win.

Ed is being generous here… Hopkins latest ramblings show that he knows far far less about the new plans than almost anyone else in knowle, he didn’t come to the public meetings so now he’s just making wild assumptions rather than simply asking us for a factual update…
Ex-Cllr Hopkins new newsletter is full of wild inaccuracies re Broadwalk. Fails to mention his shameful uncritical support for previous scheme & claims “objectors will have achieved their aims of…degrading our town centre”.Beyond reason or parody. Time to retire for common good?

Labour is nationalising rail operations, BUT the trains will be privately owned by firms taking £360m a year in dividends. Labour also reducing environmental and social obligations, such as disability access. Tell them to stop the gravy train. @we_ownit tinyurl.com/railway-for-pe…
Metro mayoral hustings. @Mary4WECAmayor did well. @BristolLabour least keen on bus franchising!?! Same old @dannorris terrible line “we are not the same as Manchester”. Tory supporting benefit cost ratios and dissing Park Street bus gates in same sentence. Park st has BCR of 7:1
