We did it! Yesterday, we successfully completed our @EcoSchools application! Safe to say we left late, but wanted to squeeze in every ‘action’ we could! Well done to a fabulous team #Collaboration @TheGatesPrimary

We spent some of our afternoon today, spreading a little bit of ‘planter joy’ around our local area and community! we delivered some our painted pots and shrubs to the shops that surround Westhoughton! @mywesthoughton @Darbysgarden

We got together this afternoon to reflect on a very successful year as part of The Gates Eco-Action Team! We used the time to discuss what we have enjoyed as a pupil leader and can’t wait to pass on our knowledge to next years’ committee! #EcoCode @EcoSchools

Thanks to @HorwichHoney and Mr Cartwright today for joining us to teach us a little more about our pollinators friends. We learned about their habitats, eating habits and how to stay safe around them. #Collaboration #TheGatesSMSC

For our latest #TheGatesEco committee meet, we discussed how our @EcoSchools ‘Green Flag’ award application is coming along, then continued our #TheGatesTreeProject #teamwork

Our first aspirations week visitor was Sam, a forest school leader. We had a great session up in our wooded area hunting for minibeast and making dens for some we drew ourselves! #thegatesaspirationsweek

#TheGatesGardening club tonight for our last outing before half term. We planted the last of our #TheGatesGreenFest ‘seed bombs’ made by our very own @GatesRobins. Let’s hope for lots of colour! 🪴🌺
