To kick off our week we spoke about what being healthy means, Penguins came up with some amazing ideas. One of our challenges this week is to write a shopping list for a smoothie, look at their amazing writing! Can’t wait to taste the smoothies! #healthandfitnessweek #eyfs

Today we made gingerbread men linked to our book last week. We followed a recipe and thought about the different ingredients we would need. We can’t wait to eat them at snack time. #thegateseyfs

Today we had an exciting start to our day, we released our butterflies. The children were so excited to see them and watch them fly. #thegateseyfs #thegatesscience

Today we completed a short HIIT workout with Mrs Jarrett and loved it! We tried some new exercises and spoke about how it made us feel. We got very hot and sweaty but all said it made us feel great afterwards! Well done everyone! #thegateseyfs #thegateshealthandfitnessweek

Our first aspirations week visitor was Sam, a forest school leader. We had a great session up in our wooded area hunting for minibeast and making dens for some we drew ourselves! #thegatesaspirationsweek

To introduce aspirations week we played round robin to think of all the jobs we could, we then created a mind map and drew as many as we could think of, we will keep adding to it this week. #thegateseyfs

Today we used the Kagan structure round robin to retell the story of the Three Little Pigs, they did brilliantly taking it in turns to say a part of the story in order. #thegateseyfs #thegatesreading
