My job as an Entertainment Reporter is at risk of redundancy as part of the Business Insider layoffs. So, here's what I can do as the journalist equivalent of a Swiss Army knife: Breaking news/features/profiles/junkets/red carpets/video editing/podcasting/copyediting and more.
So you're saying we're getting a new Hellraiser sequel with direct input from Clive Barker and Doug Bradley back as Pinhead, and it's taking the form of a SINGLE-PLAYER video game? Looks like an absolute dream for Hellraiser fans. Holy shit. Got chills watching this!
Man, I'm old enough to remember being on a junket for EASTERN PROMISES and seeing someone thrown out for asking Naomi Watts a question that contained the word "fucked". The normalising of the 'nuclear bomb' of swearwords is one thing. But to be dropping it in settings like this?
“You've kind of become a social media icon for your force field snatched, c*nty, fierceness face.” “Oh god. I don’t know if that’s a good thing.” Pedro Pascal and the interviewer tries to explain Vanessa Kirby what c*nty means.
Look, all I’m saying is that this book would make a great basis/starting point for a Mr. Terrific spinoff series. Investigating a hero for potential war crimes during a cosmic adventure? Yes please. @tomking_tk @MitchGerads @jamesgunn #Superman

First hunt. Last chance. From the director of Prey, watch the brand-new trailer for Predator: Badlands, in theaters November 7.
realized my problem with modern interviewing, especially in this context where everything needs to go viral, is that the interviewer is far more concerned with getting themselves over than showing any interest in the film or talent. They're all the center of their own universe
Pedro Pascal on if he is the capital ‘D’ Daddy of the MCU. enough with the daddy questions 😫
“The pitch is said to take inspiration more from the comics than the previous screen iterations, leaning into the world-building and dark humor. It is also meant to be a fun sci-fi blockbuster that nonetheless speaks to this moment in culture.” Dark humour, yes. Fun? No. C’mon.

Superman is the type of fun summer superhero blockbuster that we used to get excited about as kids. Go see it. Here's my review. #Superman #LookUp businessinsider.com/superman-revie…
Truly, a (super) Man of the people
"I have a Millennium Falcon LEGO that my wife got me as a wrap gift when I finished Superman and its still sitting in my closet at home. [...] Maybe that's what I'll do for opening weekend. I'll just turn my phone off and do this enormous LEGO for two days."
Had the VHS of this at my grandma’s that I watched a lot as a kid, so good.
THE MECHANICAL MONSTERS (1941)
The blu-ray menu screen for FIGHT CLUB plays as NEVER BEEN KISSED before glitching and switching over.
i hate how boring menu screens are for movies now. not even an edited video or moving image, just a screenshot and the menu options and that’s it
"...on a journey into that land where we walk without footprints." Production has begun on the next film in Denis Villeneuve's Dune trilogy. 📷 Denis Villeneuve 📍 Arrakis
Had so much fun with #Superman - leans hard into comics in the best way while being so full of heart. Hopeful, funny, and Krypto the bloody Super Dog. David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult smashed it. #LookUp ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just got told off by my fiancé for speaking while Glen Powell was wet in Twisters. (We have watched this film at least 5 times before)
Freelance ents journalism gig alert: I'm looking for a freelance writer to cover Fan Expo Chicago (Aug. 15-17) for Popverse. This is to go to 2-3 panels per day, and write breakout stories based on what they say in a timely manner in consultation with myself (remote). (1/4)
Yeah, @twpercival1 hits the nail on the head with this one! Sandman season 2 is phenomenal - but the allegations against Gaiman do hang heavy at times.
Don’t let the Neil Gaiman accusations ruin Netflix’s best fantasy show trib.al/W9MalPj

I could maybe see Harris Dickinson - Holland and Elordi? No chance.
Amazon’s casting wishlist for who should play the next James Bond reportedly includes: • Tom Holland • Jacob Elordi • Harris Dickinson (via @Variety)
