Since Saturday’s convention, many people have reached out to ask if I will be challenging the DFL endorsement. I want to be clear: I will not challenge the endorsement and will not collaborate with those who are challenging the endorsement.
In 2021, it had more to do with disorganized opposition and the general shell shock the city was experiencing. Many people probably believed Frey deserved the benefit of the doubt and could still lead us out of hard times — something only an idiot could possibly think now.
Yes, Frey only dominated in 2021 because no one was tuned into the Minneapolis election at the time.

This is exactly what we were telling people on the floor, and lots of DeWayne supporters agreed. I hope this inspires all candidates to fight harder for our city. Frey can only win if the public isn’t engaged.

This speech was dead on. White supremacists stormed the US capitol and attacked federal law enforcement; white people commit the majority of mass shootings, and it was a white person that killed Melissa Hortman. I can't wait to vote for Omar Fateh for mayor.

The story is that she wanted to take some of her dead father’s possessions back from her estranged stepmother. Shouldn’t have done it, but it’s way less bad than the DUIs rampant on both sides. And the video makes her even more sympathetic.
