X isn't real life. Post-Epstein saga, Trump's approval with the GOP (~90%) may actually be slightly up. He's at/or near his apex w/ the GOP. How? Just 1 respondent said Epstein was the top problem facing the U.S. Cong Dems, OTOH, are at their worst standing with Dems ever.
Democrats are now the biggest Epstein truthers! Politics polarising once again on a Trump v anti-Trump basis.
Only 17% of Americans approve of the way Trump is handling the Epstein files issue. 60% think the government is hiding information on his death and 69% say its hiding the alleged client list.

Why are the Epstein files still hidden? Who are the rich & powerful being protected? On Tuesday, I'm introducing an amendment to force a vote demanding the FULL Epstein files be released to the public. The Speaker must call a vote & put every Congress member on record.
It's THE PITT for sure. Which, strangely, is also a throwback to more traditional modes of TV making but at a ridiculously high level. (Being an ER Psychiatrist also helped make it super emotional for me.)

Matches a lot of my observations about "Germany beyond Berlin". I miss some aspects of Berlin (lived there twice) — most especially its crazy abundance of music events — but don't miss the infrastructure decay, constrained food choices & slow loss of the "liberated zone" feel.
I lived in Berlin for over a decade, and I found the city’s creative energy intoxicating. However, by 2023, I was looking for a change. Hamburg was the unexpected new home that I was looking for. Red Tape Translation invited me to write about it (link in reply).
Kinnock gets things upside down: it’s the (irreversible) splintering of Labour’s electorate that has opened the door to Corbyn’s project having some traction, not Corbyn causing the splintering.
Labour are going to get a very, very bad result at the next general election. Much worse than 2019 or 1983. The likes of Kinnock are simply getting in their excuses now. When it happens it’ll be the fault of…Jeremy Corbyn. They’ve already given up.

Of course the OBBB is anything but a radical set of reforms & Trump’s standing with voters remains weak. But the real difference this time is that Trump’s agenda is pushing against an open door created by the exhaustion of his political & institutional opponents.
