Dear friends, As a bit of self care I will be taking X off of my phone for the summer. That means that I will not be checking my X messages in any meaningful fashion. My apologies for any delayed replies. Enjoy the sun!

Are you getting the feeling that Carney's 'elbows up' campaign was purely performative? If so, you're not alone. That having been said, dropping the tax was an easy concession to make, and the right move. bbc.com/news/articles/…
“How low has our society sunk, that an individual feels it is justifiable to defile a Jewish house of worship by urinating on it while screaming hateful slurs?” Antisemitism is the last bastion of hate that Canada tolerates. This needs to change. torontosun.com/news/local-new…
The Ford government is taking steady steps towards a more European style of universal healthcare delivery. Ontarians will start to see tangible decreases in wait times for MRI and CT scans in about 12 months as these clinics come online. thestar.com/politics/ontar…
This is a very difficult time for public health in the United States of America. The science behind vaccines is solid and the results are nothing short of miraculous. nytimes.com/2025/06/25/hea…
My friends at the Nova Exhibition want to make people aware of an important talk from a young Israeli couple. Eliya and Ziv were caught in a grenade attack by Hamas. She survived and he was taken hostage for more than 500 days. It's a testimony everyone should hear.

The experience of the UK Jewish doctors is echoed in Canada. Jewish doctors were subjected to similar hate at a recent Emergency Medicine conference in Montreal. Something needs to change, and it needs to start in university and medical school. telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/06/2…
Irwin has suffered through so much because Iran has been hunting him on Canadian soil. We need a strong statement and even stronger action to protect Canadians from foreign aggression in Canada.

250% increase in hate crimes over the last decade. 75% targeting less than 1% of the population – our Canadian Jewish life. This isn’t random. It’s the fallout of a growing movement, fuelled by hate groups and terror proxies backed by Iran, spreading in our own backyard. Mark…
For context, Belgium is a country of 11.8 million people. I don't think this is going to move the transatlantic trade needle very much. Please focus on US trade as you promised during the election.
Here in Brussels, I met with Prime Minister @Bart_DeWever to discuss new transatlantic trade opportunities, as well as the path to peace in Ukraine and the urgency of de-escalation in the Middle East. In a more divided world, the strength of Canada and our allies will meet…
A world first — built in Ontario. Proud to secure a $70M investment in Ontario to build the first-ever Small Modular Reactor service centre — elevating Ontario as the global hub for SMR maintenance and export. 300 🇨🇦 jobs 2,000 workers trained annually $500M in supply chain…
Does anyone, including Mark Carney, truly believe that President Trump is interested in the prime minister's musings on the conflict in the Middle East? This is another statement from Carney meant entirely for domestic consumption.
I spoke with President Trump overnight. We focused on de-escalating the conflict in the Middle East, our shared commitment to a stronger NATO at this week’s summit, and the progress in the ongoing trade negotiations between our countries.
Dmitry Medvedev, Russian President, current Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, and close ally of Putin has stated plainly that Iran was producing nuclear weapons. Not only that, he said it in English. If anyone is still stating that the Iranian program was…
2. The enrichment of nuclear material — and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons — will continue. 3. A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads.
The body of 70 year old Ofra Kedar has been freed from the tunnels of Gaza by the Israeli military. She was shot at and kidnapped from her village on October 7th, then later murdered by Hamas. oct7map.com/OfraKedar
The most curious part of this post is the choice to single out Israel. Here's a list of the 9 countries with nuclear weapons: -Russia -United States -China -France -United Kingdom -Pakistan -India -Israel -North Korea Why choose Israel instead of any of the other countries?
In no universe will a president be impeached for successfully executing a military operation against a sworn enemy of the United States.
The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers. He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.
Let's not be foolish. Reactor fuel for nuclear power requires uranium enrichment of up to 5%. Medical radiopharmaceuticals are the byproduct from the up to 5% enriched uranium. So, the ONLY purpose of Iran enriching uranium to 60% is to build a bomb. aljazeera.com/news/2025/6/18…

The University of Toronto has ranked #16 in Best Global Universities. That's an incredible achievement. I'm proud to say that my alma mater crushed it in the global medical sciences ranking: #4 Surgery #5 Clinical Medicine #6 Cardiac #8 Oncology #9 Psychiatry #14 Radiology 🏆…

In 2004 Russell Crowe made a generous donation to help rebuild Montreal's United Talmud Torahs elementary school library. It was destroyed by a firebomb at the same time he was filming in Toronto. His kind gesture is something that Canadian Jews will never forget.
Visited my 7th province today. 3 more and a territory or two to go. One day. First visited Canada in 1992. It’s an amazing country. You should come and have look for yourself.
