"Spending time with others was desirable...[yet] without frequent access to alone-time in safe spaces [...] being sociable was a source of stress rather than enjoyment." Something that friends and family members of autistic persons must understand and respect better

A wonderful project, and so badly needed. This is what I call “restorative solitude” and since learning to prioritise time for it, life is so much easier & more enjoyable
