It's human empathy to reach out to politicians on hunger strike, @Helenkhosh & Gedevan Popkhadze, ex-@GeorgianDream41 MP. An atmosphere of "If you are not for us, you are an enemy" is promoted. This mentality is antithetical to democracy and will make "EU by 2030" an illusion.

1/2 Excellent tour by @SovLab of sites in central #Tbilisi depicting the Soviet Union's occupation & oppression of 🇬🇪 - with colleagues from @usingeo, @LTEmbassyGe & @PLinGEORGIA. Before anyone freaks out, we talked only about this brutal period of history. I recommend this tour.
With 🇬🇪 & 🇺🇦 pupils learning abt 🇪🇺 & youth engagement. 🇪🇺 is "United in Diversity". No-one needs to give up culture or tradition. But, to join you MUST accept the EU laws in effect in our Union. The kids love these ideals & are not affected by crazed anti-EU propaganda. 👍🏽
Thinking of my friends in #Israel who are in shelters under red missile alert again. I hope you will be safe. Yes, I think of others who are suffering innocently as well, but I lived in 🇮🇱 for four happy years and have a special personal connection.
1/2 @ACBofGeorgia I was promised info on how 13 🇩🇪 organisations in Georgia - funded by 🇩🇪 federal budget, subject of 🇩🇪🇬🇪 bilateral treaties & essential to practical implementation of our broad & deep 🇩🇪🇬🇪 ties - will be treated under 🇬🇪 FARA. We would like them to be exempt.
