Twine. Tools like a trowel, wrench or screwdriver. A map for a park with indecipherable notes on it. A large first aid kit. A ring of antique keys. A sleeping bag. A copy of The Dangerous Book for Boys (well used). A roll of toilet paper.
I feel like I have provided evidence of physical, mental, social & emotional benefits of strong opinions, even in situations when those opinions are not backed up by evidence. I've provided citations & references. I haven't seen you give citations or studies to the contrary. 🧵
If you have a strong opinion but no evidence to back it up, your opinion is worthless, no matter how strongly you feel about it.
Last Day of the School year yesterday! I've got a week off with no particular plans before summer school starts. Here's to hoping I can gather my peace and thoughts to do some writing - about people experiencing disruption and violence. 🤪
Technically he committed treason by his various demands for non-existent votes to be turned up and other efforts to thwart the election. But J6 itself has (legally, at least) plausible deniability.
You are also being followed by way more people than you follow, which creates the appearance that you follow and then unfollow once they follow back (other than influencers, most folks follow more people than they have following them).
Sometimes i really want to go sit in the middle of nowhere and not think for a while
I think we all need to read this list before having a debate on this site about any major issue. I'm not perfect, but we should at least have these in mind. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_f…
I've been blocked from replying to my own posts here. @JoeElliot78 @PamKeithFL @LaykeGirl CPAs are massively overworked and new CPAs are so overwhelmed they immediately leave the field. If the system isn't simplified, we soon won't HAVE CPAs.
Your wife ‘agrees’ vocally, but also might worry in her head, ‘if it’s simpler then there are less needs for CPAs’. I’d feel that way if I was one. Akin to Walmart adding self-checkout lines reduced the need for cashiers. Doesn’t eliminate all as there will be needs.
The Kafkaesque world of British policing: "Why are you detaining me?" "Because you've done something wrong." "What have I done wrong?" "Something which has given us reason to believe you've committed an offence." "But what offence have I committed?" "Something which has given us…
It is hyperbole. I don't believe any intelligent person could honestly believe that Trump could become Hitler and end democratic elections in the USA. Concentration camps? The murder of millions of people? You can seriously imagine hundreds of thousands of Americans working in…
We have a blaze maple, and it does get fairly spectacular in the fall.
The idea that we don’t “owe anybody anything” is why community is so fractured nowadays. Courtesy is not about a debt to others. It’s simply about honoring basic human dignity. People deserve to be treated with dignity. Full stop.
That all politics is run by a bunch or rich people who don't actually care about any of the issues they support. And there's nothing you can do about it no matter what you do or who you support. Oh, wait...
Anger isn't a solution to problems. It is at best a motivation, and a short-term one. It relies on you having a simple problem, and intimidating your rivals who fear your anger. But rivals stop being afraid and hate back, and anger doesn't allow for clear thinking or fairness
Exactly. Keep sharing your story!! Your story is yours & so is your experiences. 💖🖤🦄🌸 #MentalHealth #Neurodiversity #PTSD #CPTSD #Autistic
The more you think your rivals are doing evil, the more likely it is you are planning to be evil to them.
