Some personal news. Very excited to get to work on this! And if you have stories or insights that might be relevant, please get in touch.

"The Gaza genocide has made plain what many leftist Jews have long feared: that virtually the entire enterprise of Judaism—and nearly every organization charged with stewarding it—is infected with a voracious rot." jewishcurrents.org/we-need-new-je…
And when the nominee for President emerges, it is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that we prevent the same foreign policy staffer class who aided and abetted this under Biden from waltzing back into the administration. We need new voices, who have moral compasses.
I don’t think you guys are that far apart. Welcoming converts instead of scolding them for being late is how movements succeed. As I wrote in my recent piece, I don’t think that’s inconsistent with accountability, which is absolutely necessary. foreignpolicy.com/2025/07/18/bid…
This is correct and obviously so. At no point since Oct 7 has Israel offered any kind of principle that would limit the number of Palestinians they’re going to starve and slaughter—a total rejection of any kind of proportionality and an embrace of an infinite right to kill
A reminder that everything that has happened was knowable and predictable on the morning of October 7, 2023. Many of you failed, morally and analytically. Many of you ran interference for what the whole world now sees is a campaign of mass starvation.

The current Israeli government is overtly genocidal and routinely kills Palestinian civilians as a matter of policy; it’s about to kill many more. There’s no excuse for not knowing this; to rally behind them now is a statement of geopolitical preference, not moral principle.
Bari is scrambling to get ahead of the fact that she denied starvation in Gaza—something the photos and footage now make undeniable. Israel’s most fervent defenders have all abruptly shifted their message from denial to acknowledgement + blaming someone else in the past few days.
This is what’s really scaring me. Bari fucking Weiss should not feel compelled to do damage control NOW. They’ve gleefully trucked through so many unspeakable horrors.
It’s chilling to watch the people who have cheerled this famine-genocide for two years finally acknowledge the predictable consequences. They sense how history will record this and they want to whitewash their own role in making it happen.

Biden’s Team Lied About Gaza. It’s Time to Hold Them Accountable. My piece in @ForeignPolicy foreignpolicy.com/2025/07/18/bid…
It’s very annoying Larry Summers is considered a genius when it takes him years to figure out stuff that is instantly obvious to the median left Twitter shitposter
Effective today, I have resigned from the Advisory Board of UATX. While I believe very much in the importance of competition and innovation in higher education, and see major problems with the lack of diverse perspective in elite institutions, I am not comfortable with the course…
Tom Friedman's advice to Zohran is annoying across the board but I want to highlight this classic Friedmanism; a solid majority of Zohran's likely future constituents actually live east of the East River in Brooklyn and Queens. Very NYT to think Manhattan is all that counts!

This attitude is exactly why all of the YIMBY groups across the country have to distance themselves from Matt in order to be successful and pass zoning reforms.

Actor Mandy Patinkin makes an impassioned plea for Jewish people around the world to think about the consequences of what they're doing and allowing to be done in Gaza.
