The International Court of Justice provides predictability, stability and security. As the 🇬🇧 candidate for the ICJ, I will use my experience advising states from every region of the globe to strengthen the international rule of law at every opportunity, for the benefit of all.
This week marks 79 years of the International Court of Justice. It plays an essential role resolving disputes peacefully between States. At the @UN, UK ICJ candidate @DapoAkandeLaw shared the extensive international expertise and experience he would bring if elected as a judge.
Here at the @UN, I am reminded why I wanted to be an international lawyer and why it is a privilege to be the UK candidate for the @CIJ_ICJ. It would be an even greater privilege to serve the Court as a judge and work together to help the ICJ meet the challenges before it today.
