Power of observation never has been keener. Waters never have run deeper. Uncertainty excites me.
Swirsky pinch hitting for Haugh this morning. Swirsk pivoted deftly from the Chelios-Savard trade to Jack Morris and Cooperstown. Hoping there's a Jim Finks story or Dallas Green interview in our future. #Bup #RepentDanny #TheBottomLine
Also a damning portrait of the 2 sports stations here. Both blocked me from pimping I Bear Witness. My book has the CBA stuff (pages 15 & 16). Tried it & more to ESPN & Score last July. Now all are shocked over Carl Williams/ labor law stuff. Read the book, gang. #StillWinning
Probably the most damning information to come from this news story on Seth's upcoming book is what Caleb Williams detailed going on inside Halas Hall that stunted his first-year growth. "At times, Williams said he would watch film alone, with no instruction or guidance from the…
Congrats to ESPN 1000 program boss @DZederman for resurrecting GN's Kathy & Judy show. Airport mishaps. Landscaping. More vapid Chicago Pope. Drive me off this picture @steverosenbloom . Ponytail needs to regroup at my other former employer. His record sucks.
He loved life, and many with whom he shared it. Harry was authentic, kind, unassuming. We battled. And we loved, these last few years particularly. No show ever filled the gym like ours did. None before, none since. Sky point @HeyTweetHarry . #ClosingTime #PullUpAChair
Thanks Potsy. Hoped to see you at Mongo's services. I stayed about an hour then his the bricks.
I have read Dan McNeil’s book “I Bear Witness” and it is as good as advertised — just what you’d expect from Danny Mac. If I had a radio show, I’d have Mac on it. (Full disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of the book, but I would like it even if I paid for it — honest!)
Shout out to @sheanorling for acknowledging the passing of Mets great Seymour Weiner. @CourtneyRCronin quashed frat house banter, noting SportsCenter's crew made it through the obit without giggling. C'mon, CC... play along!
Cathy, the time I spent with you, Steve & KVH last July was most meaningful to me. Virtual hug... see you at the services.
My brother, #SteveMcMichael, has ascended into heaven. 🕊️ Thank you for your support and prayers.🙏 #TeamMongo #MongoStrong #SteveMongoMcMichael
This was a blast with the guys at Barstool. Exploring the deep waters of Chicago sports yap history with @EddieBarstool & @barstoolWSD . This is the whole whack. On Chicago Radio Golden Days & Walter Payton vs Michael Jordan youtu.be/D7z8X9OkV7A?si… via @YouTube
Was great to sit down with @DannyMacShow on today’s @thestretchpod Shout out to Geoff Blum
I had a blast yesterday with @EddieBarstool & @barstoolWSD as a guest on @thestretchpod. Everybody in the ultimate mancave made me feel welcome -- thanks @barstoolsports.
NW side native @EddieBarstool has invited me to do @thestretchpod Wednesday. My pleasure to talk Bears & whatever with the boys. After four+ years of club shows, it's great to get some at-bats on the big stage of @barstoolsports.
Big Game Tom coming through again. Who chucked for the Cubs that day, Jim Bullinger?
A couple of cool tickets from my childhood… First row in right field for Michael Jordan’s only baseball game in a big league stadium. He played right at Wrigley. Bulls at Bucks when they won their 70th game, the most of all time at the time.
I'm dusting off the Sonys next week. More Monday. Meantime, this is best when cranked up to 11. The Bad Examples - Not Dead Yet [Bad Is Beautiful] youtu.be/-k-YmrvWK18?si… via @YouTube
Well said, Chris. Gentle for sure. When I was just starting that good walk spoiled, he introduced me to everybody. Generosity of spirit... that was Rory.
Rory Spears was as gentle, laid-back & easy-going as a peaceful round of golf on a sunny day. Like we all wish, happy he got to turn his passion into a living, & what it's like to play the great courses in this country. Local golf, family, friends & colleagues will miss him. RIP.
Very sad to hear about the passing of Rory Spears @GogBlogGuy a '90s Score guy. Rory hustled & was resourceful. He was gentle, kind. When columnist Gene Seymour died, Rory rolled up his sleeves to assist w benefits. I trust we'll do the same for him. @ZiehmLen @Schumouse
65% comp pct. / 30+ TDs/ 4000+ yds. Given good health, is beyond reasonable -- it is expected. Year 2. No more excuses tour. If Caleb starts 16 or more, it's essential he clears those bars. No qualifiers. Go time.
