As the LCMS Oklahoma District Evangelism Executive, this statement is both true and false. Some churches do very little outreach. Some to outreach all the time.
I feel like we need to do cross generational outreach. Lutherans do very little evangelizing these days just due to the nature of the church. Very few coming in that aren’t born.

Our churches are full of sinners. I commune them and commune with them at the Lord’s table. The same Lord who dared eat with sinners and tax collectors. I go to church with sinners, like me, made holy and pure in the sight of God.

It is always so humbling to give out God’s rich blessings to His saints. I was honored to be a part of this service. Thanks be to God for His word and sacraments.

Was good to see my old friends from Westboro Baptist at the Youth Gathering. I didn’t have time to talk with them like when I served in Topeka. it looks like they still cannot say for sure if they are saved or not. Pray for those who have read Scripture but do not understand it.
