The College Sports Commission is aiming to eliminate NIL deals between NIL collectives/boosters & college athletes. But it has no legal authority to do so. Which means we’ll see lawsuits & people choosing to not follow rules. Limiting athlete comp w/o bargaining doesn’t work.

NEWS: According to @NorthwesternU's latest tax return obtained by @Sportico, the school paid former head football coach Pat Fitzgerald $4.1 million in 2023 before firing him for cause that June. Fitzgerald is currently suing the school for $130 million in Illinois state court.
