It’s been six months since Ryan Corbett returned to U.S. soil. He says he’s grateful to be with his family, but still experiences a “buzzing” in his nerves & trouble sleeping. He left on a 12mo business visa on 7/26/2022 & was wrongfully detained by the Taliban on 8/10/2022.
Ryan Corbett has been freed from Taliban custody after being wrongfully detained for nearly 900 days. The @AP reports he’s one of two U.S. citizens released as part of a prisoner swap. He’s currently on his way home with plans to land in San Antonio, TX today. @SPECNews1ROC

UPDATE: This was a two alarm fire. About 36 firefighters on scene. Original call said people trapped. Fire was found in a hallway on a higher floor. Residents told to shelter in place because of the heavy smoke. Couple residents evaluated at the scene, but nobody transported.

Three years ago today, our brother was taken from us while doing his job. Officer Anthony Mazurkiewicz was murdered in the line of duty on July 21, 2022. Maz lived as a hero to his family and friends, and died as a hero to Rochester.
