Important that the 18th EU sanctions package against Russia is now a fact. We are ramping up economic pressure with robust measures - targeting Russian oil revenues by lowering the price ceiling and cutting off more Russian banks from the international banking system. 1/2
Ukraine’s anti-corruption institutions are vital to its reform path. Restricting them would be a significant setback. Safeguarding the independence of these institutions and continued progress on the rule of law remain key for Ukraine’s EU accession process.
Seriously concerned over today’s vote in the Rada. The dismantling of key safeguards protecting NABU’s independence is a serious step back. Independent bodies like NABU & SAPO, are essential for 🇺🇦’s EU path. Rule of Law remains in the very center of EU accession negotiations.

11 years ago today, flight #MH17 was shot down over Eastern Ukraine. Everybody on board, including 196 🇳🇱 nationals, died. Russia’s responsibility is beyond dispute, as established by @CourtMH17, @ECHR_CEDH and @icao. Our thoughts are with the 298 victims and their loved ones.
