The multi-sport advantage is clear. Focusing on just one sport too soon isn't always optimal for developing young athletes. Engaging in various sports often leads to more comprehensive growth and ultimately, better results.
Such a great experience!! Not the outcome we wanted in the third game but still so proud of everyone!!
Great run at the USYS National Championships. We came up a little short but gained experience and made memories.
I love getting opportunities like in this game at USYS National Championships to outrun the defense and go one on one with the keeper for a goal. I appreciated the great ball and being able to tie up the game.
Gets hit in the hand and the ump calls him out. I’m so tired of MLB umpires
Jackson Chourio struck out after not swinging at six pitches out of the zone.
Youth basketball coaches will spend every practice going over set plays and then wonder why their kids aren’t skilled or good at reading the defense
Jack Janicki has paid his dues. The former walk-on worked his way into the rotation in year two. With eyes on year three, the sophomore guard feels his game reaching another level, as is his leadership ability. #Badgers
Few Highlights from Chicago ( number 1, white knee pads )
It’s Jacob Misiorowski Day as the Brewers try to make it 12 in a row. You know about the big velocity, but there’s another trait that makes him a unicorn, as @_dadler explains ⤵️ mlb.com/news/jacob-mis…
AAU is about development. I play everyone as close to equal as possible on my teams.
Do your homework on AAU teams! There’s a lot of teams out there that literally do not play players on the bench. It happens every year.
For young basketball players, the path to success isn't always what you think. Many believe early specialisation is key, but our insights suggest a broader approach. Let's explore why. 🧵👇

I have said for about 5 years that the 3-pt shot eventually will bring back the midrange as defenses focus more on taking away the 3. I don’t think we’ve reached the apex yet in NBA, and NCAA/NFHS lags far behind.
It always is interesting to me to see how defensive players are at a huge disadvantage with all conference, all area awards, & all state especially in soccer and basketball. Impact on the game is rarely understood. I would have offensive and defensive players of the year.
Super proud of this group for battling through a tough championship game! Wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else! Now onto Chicago for our last tournament of the summer and am so grateful for all the memories from this season ❤️

Why Teaching Basketball in Opposites Makes Everything Simpler The last 2 years coaching many players in the youth space has shown me that... Your players learn faster, deeper, and with less confusion by seeing both sides—together. A thread 🧵
