At the base of the Bob Uecker statue outside American Family Field right now: A single, unopened can of Miller Lite. “I must be in the front row.”

Dug back into my preps days and helped with a couple snippets of this awesome documentary on Waukesha North’s Will McDonald. It’s an incredible story that hasn’t been told fully until now. Check it out.
"I'm not trying to just leave a legacy. I'm trying to be generational." Season 2 of Origins is HERE. Full Will McDonald episode 📺: bit.ly/44McKBZ
Brewers recently added Bishop Letson to the 60-day minor-league IL. He's been dealing with a shoulder fatigue issue for a while now and has a target return of mid-to-late August.
Brandon Woodruff is one of only eight pitchers since 1901 to begin his season with at least 3 straight games of 5+ strikeouts and no walks. And he’s done it in his first 3 games back from major shoulder surgery.
Joey Ortiz showed up to the second half with a new look at the plate. He homered Saturday and scalded 3 balls yesterday. Could it fuel a second half surge? jsonline.com/story/sports/m…
GATE 31B RIGHT BEFORE BOARDING — George Webb has been put on notice by the Milwaukee Brewers. And they’re not alone. jsonline.com/story/sports/m…
It may have gone unnoticed, but Jackson Chourio sprinted all the way home on this play when there was never going to be a play at the plate. Had he jogged it around third, the eventual deciding run might not have counted.
Pat Murphy’s club walked into Dodger Stadium and swept the season series against the reigning champs with their top contributors being Isaac Collins, Caleb Durbin, Quinn Priester and Joey Ortiz. It felt fitting, the manager thought. “A bunch of average Joes.”
Final: Brewers 6, Dodgers 5 Remarkable. The Brewers are the first team to sweep a season series of at least 6 with the Dodgers since 2006. And they did it in a span of two weeks. And they've won 10 straight. And they're tied for the best record in baseball. The record: 59-40
Aaaaaand the Dodgers defense has gotten the Brewers right back in this. Tommy Edman throwing error on what could have been the third out. Unsettling Esteury Ruiz throw home. And now Andy Pages flat-out misses a line drive. It's tied.
Pat Murphy said there’s no timetable for return for Jake Bauers at present. He’s been dealing with shoulder discomfort for a while and it got to the point where it’s affecting his swing. First step is to let it heal.
Brewers GM Matt Arnold to the JS on Freddy Peralta trade speculation: “Freddy means the world to our franchise and all of us. I would expect him to be a big part of this going down the stretch.” jsonline.com/story/sports/m…
If you are back home, still awake and would like to read about the Brewers doing the dang thing again, consider yourself in luck. jsonline.com/story/sports/m…
Pat Murphy on the 58-40 Brewers: "That’s what’s kind of cool and unique about us: While there’s not a bunch of big names, there’s a bunch of guys who are hungry still. They remember the kind of year they had last year and how it ended. I think they’re still hungry."
Freddy Peralta is the first Brewers pitcher to be the winning pitcher in 7+ straight starts since 1992, when Cal Eldred did it in 10 in a row.
Final: Brewers 8, Dodgers 7 Nine wins in a row for the surging Crew. They have the third-best record in baseball, one game back of the best record. Unreal. The record: 58-40
