There are many birds whose sex is totally indistinguishable to humans, even humans who get to examine the birds physically have difficulty sexing the birds. But the birds know without effort.

Basically if our gender identity which has replaced sex is only apparent upon declaration then that means it is impossible to know the sex of a person who cannot communicate for whatever reason. And that is so unbelievably stupid, illogical and unscientific.

We will shortly be reporting from day 6 of the July hearing of Sandie Peggie v Fife Health Board and Dr Upton. The first session is due to start at 11.30am when Naomi Cunningham (NC) will continue her cross examination of Emergency Dept Consultant Dr Kate Searle (KS).

I'm not sure how a person who is unable to tell their own sex from the opposite is qualified to administer in medical contexts. The inability to tell your own sex from the opposite could be classified as being mentally disabled and disqualifying for most positions.

It could be a new guessing game. Doctor looks then scuttles over to privately write up the birth report. Everyone in the room then guesses which it is - F or M ( isNB a possibility?). Those who get it right get a biscuit. It will brighten up births no end!

They manage to tell each other apart even when we humans can't see obvious differences. The male wood pigeon is just slightly larger and has a more iridescent neck patch. That's it. The male doesn't need to check chromosomes before deciding who to chase!

The Tribunal in Peggie vs NHS Fife & Dr Upton is not expected to be in public session before 11:30 today, Kate Searle, A&E consultant, expected to continue giving evidence then.

i'm still puzzled as to how animals know the difference. it's not like males and females are often wildly different creatures.
