Lovely day for Roadshow at Cheltenham on 22.7.25 for @Gloscricket v @lancscricket - with a big crowd and plenty of good cricket. At lunch & tea popped into tent with @CricketSociety Glitterati for cricket discussions hosted by incomparable #stephenchalke
Cheltenham Festival: Lots of Cricket Societies represented at fine event organised by #stephenchalke & #chriscoley who talked to the great & the good of cricket including @butcher_roland @AnnieChave #vicmarks & others. At the same time a tight battle on the pitch #glocsvlancs
Will be signing copies of Test Cricket: A History by the club shop at @lancscricket at lunch on the first 3 days of the Test if anyone wants to say hi
Thank you @EwhurstCricket for a really good game on 23.7.25 - they reached 283/8 in 40 overs & then @cricketsocxi reached 277/7 in 40. Brilliant century (142) for #davidfarrington who kept us in the game. Good wicket & a very decent tea. @CricketSociety
Many thanks to @NewdigateCC for their usual hospitality & an excellent day’s play. @cricketsocxi restricted the home team to 204/5 in 40 before knocking the runs off in 31.2 overs with a brilliant knock from @humphrer of 82*. Great to see @RukyWicks on the road to recovery.

Many thanks to @CapelCricketsy for a great day on Sunday 13th July. A beautiful location and such a smart, well maintained ground with a buzzing pavilion, all in a small Surrey village. As for the result @cricketsocxi scored 251/7 & then bowled out the home team for 113.

I know many of us are a certain age but County Cricket is excellent for meeting up with friends , watching top class cricketers in a wonderful atmosphere . It’s a fabric of society in the UK … and please, long may it continue. BTW … many young folk at Chesterfield and York
Many thanks to @SuttonCricket for a great Sunday fixture on 29th June. @cricketsocxi fell apart after a good start & only managed 171/9 thanks to some generous bowling at the end. We made it relatively tough for #sutton but were beaten by 3 wkts who were the better team.
