We were able to secure $5 million for much needed upgrades under then Governor Justice. Great to see the improvements Roane General has been able to make with those dollars.

Nearly 15,000 students will receive full funding for the Hope Scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year. Treasurer Pack spoke to @WTOV9 about the increase from the 10,750 students who received some level of funding from the previous year.

West Virginia spends more than about 20 other states on public education per student. We still rank 47th in education. More money isn’t the answer — more choice is.

It is still estimated nearly 19,000 students will partake in Hope next year. Hope now represents one of the largest student pools in the state. This right before the program goes universal in 2026.
