Out again speaking to local residents about issues affecting them across Southport. Lots of people concerned about what Labour are doing nationally and locally. Tell us what you think, we’ll leave the comments on unlike some other local parties.
Are the “tax experts” in the room with you now?
I've put down a parliamentary motion supporting the proposal from tax experts for a Wealth Tax. A 2% Wealth Tax on assets over £10 million would raise over £24 BILLION a year. That's the fairer alternative to cuts we need. Over 30 MPs have backed it so far!
Reform's new 'costings' document may as well have been written on the back of a fag packet... "The cost of our policies will likely pay for itself." Spoiler alert: they won't.
Labour promised us growth. The only things growing are: 📈inflation 🏭 unemployment 💷 borrowing 💳 debt And we’ve all got more tax rises to come. Labour doesn’t work, it never does.
Labour have lost control of the welfare budget. Reform would spend even more. Only @KemiBadenoch and @Conservatives are telling the truth, and have the courage to fix it.
Today we’ve been out speaking to local residents in Southport (in the slightly warm weather). Lots of people very unhappy with Labour. It’s a 2 horse race in Southport between Conservatives and Labour. The best way to get Labour out of Southport is to #VoteConservative
