Shauna Speaks Comics

Just a redheaded gal who's a cape comics enthusiast, a book connoisseur, a film fanatic, a music admirer and a sports fan
It has become genuinely concerning how comic book discussion has become poisoned over time, with more and more people unable to come to any consensus regarding their opinions. I've seen people spammed with messages for sharing criticism, and other harassed simply because they...
If only he said this in the actual movie. We were so close
it takes the question of superman being a "superior" being and immediately allows clark to address in a truly meaningful speech that doesn't put down his heritage, but rather connects him more strongly to those who relate to his struggle. just a great book.
The average Batman fan want Superman to be an accessory to Batman. They want him to be weak, dumb, and inexperienced. A blank canvas to be shaped by Batman. Max Landis is a great example of this type of person.
“I like Superman bro. I just like Batman more. And I hate half of Superman’s lore. And I think mist of his villains are lame. And I don’t like Lois. And I want him to be sort of a loser. And I think he shouldn’t be strong. And I think him being smart is not a good thing.”
Crazy how Kung Fu Panda 2 gives more respect to biological parents who sacrificed everything to save their kid and the courage and kindness of adopted parents who nurtured the hero into a hero better than Superman
John Byrne really won in the end.
you can’t really reduce low support needs/verbal autism to being simply socially awkward though. yes in some ways you can learn how to perform better socially but that’s masking & leads to burnout. autism at its core is a processing disorder. it goes way beyond social faux pas.
People need to realize that unless u are severely (like non verbal) autistic, being “socially awkward” is something you can fix with practice. Social skills are like any skills: some people are born w natural ability, most people have to learn thru practice
Pulling a @D4hz4hn and writing what I thought of the controversial twist in Superman (2025) that sorta changes how the general audience perceive Superman's origin and main theme
Okay, actually, here's a comparison that I think will help people better understand. Clark is like Perry the Platypus. "Perry" is technically a mask while "agent P" is the real dude. HOWEVER, "Perry" and his life as a pet means more to him than just a cover-
The beard suited him much better
First look at Ezra Bridger in ‘AHSOKA’ Season 2.
Could've saved a lot for me if rather than 'I'm human' as if being alien is a bad thing, instead he got up in lex's face and was more like 'yeah, I am an alien.' and went into how the gifts he's gotten as a result of it have connected him with life more than anyone could imagine.

In “Superman Smashes the Klan,” Superman is obviously anti-Klan. But according to scholar Chris Gavaler, the popular mythologization of the Klan is tied to the birth of the superhero in ways that might affect our understanding of Superman’s approach to justice. 1/12 #Superman
