We developed #PPG using hyperemic FFR pullbacks. Now, we’ve shown that resting pullbacks provide the same predictive power @PCRonline @crfheart @CoreAalst @ziadalinyc @JEscaned @divaka_perera eurointervention.pcronline.com/article/valida…
🚀 This week we started with an exciting upgrade to our coronary physiology toolkit: the Pullback Pressure Gradient (PPG) metric. PPG is a novel, easy-to-use decision support tool — much like FFR — that helps differentiate focal vs. diffuse epicardial coronary artery disease.
Fantastic edition of The Physiology Course Japan Edition #CVIT 2025 @CoreAalst @OptimaCTO
TPC in Japan - Thank you to the faculty, delegates and our sponsor - a wonderful day of building understanding, highlighting best practice and sharing actionable insights. @ColletCarlos @BernardBruyne
Working on the final details of The Physiology Course Japan 🇯🇵 edition Tomorrow in Osaka #CVIT 2025 @divaka_perera @PCRonline @MortonKern @CoreAalst @SKuramitsu0511 @JEscaned
See you tomorrow for The Physiology Course Japan! @ColletCarlos @BernardBruyne @DBwrpBvAMkd2hVV
Outstanding work! 👏 This is the first randomized study comparing resting and hyperemic pullbacks. 🔑 Key finding: Both resting (iFR) and hyperemic (FFR) pullbacks are equally influenced by lesion cross-talk. ✅ This settles a long-standing debate in the physiology field.
Is FFR/iFR the same in the LAD and LCx in isolated LMCA disease? We are excited to share our #disruptive findings, online @CircIntv today ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/CI… ‼️ All pressure-based indices are LOWER in the LAD than in LCx (misclassification 21% by FFR 28% by iFR)
🚨 Game changer in cardiac imaging 🚨 Non-invasive #CCTA is no longer the future — it is the new standard for stent evaluation. Photon Counting CT revealing stent strut details and subtle edge hyperplasia @PCRonline @TCTMD @Heart_SCCT @CoreAalst @ESC_Journals
Everything is ready for The Physiology Course Japan edition 🇯🇵 We are proud to partner with Japanese Association of Cardiovascular Interventions CVIT in a space that I s evolving rapidly - now able to predict symptoms improvement after PCI. #PPG
One week to go until Optima lands in Osaka, Japan for The Physiology Course 2025! @ColletCarlos @BernardBruyne @DBwrpBvAMkd2hVV
Medical therapy ≠ revascularization in lesions with: - Large plaque burden, lipid-rich, irregular plaque morphology - Large translesional pressure gradients with high #PPG Intervention is likely to offer superior outcomes in this lesion subset @PCRonline @TCTMD

PPG Global @TCTMD #TCT2024 💪 Patients with high PPG (focal disease) experienced less angina at 1 year 🔑 Those with low PPG had more residual angina and showed similar responses to medication, PCI, or surgery PPG is a novel application of coronary physiology @PCRonline
As we wrap up an incredible CT-guided PCI course, I want to say thank you. This course was a deep dive into the future of coronary intervention. From calcium to co-registration, we explored how CT imaging is not just a diagnostic tool, but a game changer in the lab #OptimaCTPCI

let's think about an image-guided PCI of a calcified coronary lesion. which imaging technique will you use it, thinking that you have all available in your hands? @PCRonline @ColletCarlos @shci_sec @secardiologia @TCTMD @JEscaned @NievesGonzalo1 @nicolasdumonte1 @CuissetDr
Great to see @geshNHS being one the first centers globally to lead the way in full Physiology, enchanced by PPG. This utilises our one-wire full physiology solution by quantifying focal and diffuse coronary disease to help you identify patients most likely to benefit from PCI
@OptimaCTO #OptimaCTPCI 👀SEEING vs LOOKING 👀 💡Understanding what you’re looking at to see 💡Familiarize yourself with the software 💡Identify plaque features 💡Calcium density programs remove guesswork..quantification = standardization
Incredible talk on cognitive load in the cath lab by Matt Siebbald at the #CTguidedPCI course. Don’t think and do at the same time! @DrNataliaP @OptimaCTO @CoreAalst
